Ingredients for a 20×30 cm pan:
- 225 grams of butter
- 150 grams of brown sugar
- 75 grams of white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 280 grams of flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 300 grams of chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips, plus a bit more for decoration
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 160°C
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together in a mixer until well combined.
- Add the eggs and mix again.
- Add the flour and salt and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate pieces.
- Line a 20×30 cm rectangular pan with parchment paper, pour in the batter, and smooth it out. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool completely (about 4 hours).
- Cut into squares and serve.
